NB – There is an error in the bibliography at the back of the W. E. Johns biography that lists Worrals Goes Afoot as published BEFORE Worrals in the Wastelands - but this is incorrect.
The dates for the two books given here relate to when the British Library received their copies and it is also quite clear from the content of the books that Worrals in the Wastelands was written before Worrals Goes Afoot.
All Lutterworth
covers and Hodder and Stoughton covers are from my
own collection of Worrals first editions.
The copyright in all of the images
belong to the original publishers and artists.

The last four Lutterworth covers were by Reginald Heade
(born Reginald Cyril Webb) 1901 – 1957, a well-known book illustrator.
I do not know which
artists did the covers of the first two books, Worrals of the W.A.A.F and
Worrals Carries On.
