GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE RANGER
MAGAZINE
“Ranger” was first published in September 1965 (issue dated 18th
September 1965) and ran for 40 weekly issues, with the final issue being dated
18th June 1966 when
“Ranger” merged with “Look and Learn” from issue 232, dated 25th
June 1966. It was originally published
by Fleetway Publications.
The title was created Leonard Matthews but edited by John
Sanders with Ken Roscoe as assistant editor and Colin Parker as art editor.
W. E. Johns work was in the first twenty issues as above.
The copyright in all of W.E. Johns work
is owned by the estate of W.E. Johns as represented by W. E. Johns
(Publications) Limited.
This private limited company have
